Mustafa Hassanali Launches AFRILAAL In South Africa







Pan African Designer from Tanzania, Mustafa Hassanali showcased at the 4TH
Edition of The Africa fashion International’s Africa Fashion Week 2012 in Johannesburg, on 26 October


“As the only designer based from Tanzania to be invited at this prestigious Fashion Week in The continent of Africa, I am very excited and honored to launch my new collection called afrilaal, the fifth one this year 2012

This Collection is named Afrilaal Collection which consists of Mustafa Hassanali |signature Gown but also some pieces of ready to wear men’s wear. “Afri” a short from of Africa and “Laal” Hindi for Colour red summates however vast and varied Africa is but the Colour of blood flowing through our veins is same. This collection in addition will be used to advocate awareness of the reality of HIV/AIDS, thus SEE RED, THINK HIV/AIDS.


The collection has been launched at an opportune moment just as we nearing December 1, which is globally known as World Aids Day.

Amidst the international models who showcased mustafa Hassanali Afrilaal collection was New York based Tanzanian Model Flaviana Matata, Sweden Based Tanzanian Model Michelle Jeng and mnet face of Africa 2008 Kate mensah from Ghana amongst the many.




Mustafa Hassanali has already launched 3 Collection in 2012.Afrikalos collection in Lagos Nigeria, Wedding collection in Dar es Salaam, Ramadhan Collection in Dakar, Senegal and Pink Desert Collection in Gaborone, Botswana. And has shown at Fashion extravaganza in Kampala, Uganda and Bangalore fashion week in India.
