The actress and model recently said that the show was a result of a five-year development deal with Oprah Winfrey to do a daytime talk show, which ended up not going to air.
Deadline reports, she explained: ‘I realized I was definitely into late night more than daytime at this point in my life. I probably always was. I was really excited when VH1 told me I could be myself, outrageous but fun.
‘While I consider myself to be a mother warrior, BFF, naughty girlfriend, I can’t pigeonhole myself as being a good girl.’

The model – who has appeared in Playboy magazine – also revealed that she was somewhat inspired by Hugh Hefner’s Playboy After Dark.
So you can count Jenny – who started off 2013 by smooching contest winner Benjamin Moore in Times Square and kissed Justin Bieber at the American Music Awards last year – to get controversial on screen.
She commented: ‘I hope to get something different out of the A-listers.’
