Striding back to his lounger, Alan’s growth appeared to be at odds with his balding pate.
The ex-footballer also proved that he hasn’t let himself go to seed in the years following his retirement by revealing a nicely toned upper body.
Wife Lainya was later spotted strolling across the beach with their daughter Chloe while Alan took it easy.

The pundit, who has amassed a £36m fortune according to the Sunday Times Rich List, lives in Darras Hall with his wife of 22 years and their son Will, 12.
Daughters Chloe 21, and 18-year-old Holly have moved out of the family home.
Alan met Lainya when he was a Southampton player and were married on in June 1991.
