Fallen ill: Lil Wayne has been hospitalised for a second time after he suffered 'seizure-like symptoms' on a flight, the second incident in 24 hours
It comes after he was hospitalised on Thursday after suffering seizure-like symptoms on a flight.
The star's private jet had to make an emergency landing in Texas when he suffered the health scare and he was quickly brought to a local hospital.
A spokesman for the 30-year-old rapper insisted he was only treated for a severe migrane and dehydration.
A spokesman for Lil Wayne said on Thursday: 'He is at home on doctor mandated rest and will return to work soon. He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love.'
Thursday's drama unfolded after the pilot radioed in to say the rapper was suffering a seizure.
This is the latest trouble for the star - real name Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. – after he recently filed a lawsuit against Quincy Jones III for using his music in a documentary film.
Acting fast: As soon as the rapper landed he was rushed to receive medical treatment
In the court documents he claimed he never gave permission to use his music in The Carter, a motion picture about him.
Songs used in the movie include hits such as Lollipop, Stuntin' Like My Daddy, Let the Beat Build, and Dontgetit from his multi-platinum selling album, Tha Carter III.
Lil Wayne claims music producer Quincy Jones' son and the other producers never asked if they could use his tunes in their project.
However, it seems he cooperated with the filming of the documentary, because he allowed cameras to follow him around.
Lil Wayne didn't like the outcome of the movie and sued over it, claiming it was a 'scandalous portrayal' of him.
In the music lawsuit, filed by the firm of Lavely & Singer on behalf of the star, Lil Wayne asks for unspecified damages and an order prohibiting the producers from using his music.
Road to recovery: Lil Wayne is said to have been released from hospital in Louisiana following the second scare
